That will take time and patience and perseverance. If you quit, you lose!

These guys did not quit. They kept plugging away and writing.

There are two ways to succeed.

  1. One is to put money in to promote yourself, buying ads through adsense or paying to put a banner link to your website on other websites through BuySellAds and other programs. (Quicker, but alot of money invested)
  2.  Creating great content on your website day after day. Developing followers as an authority in your niche. (Slower, but you get people who will come back more)

Getting Started:

Affiliate Marketing – What is it?

Basically it means selling or promoting someone else’s stuff and getting paid when someone clicks or buys it.

This is the quickest and easiest way to make money online since you don’t have to create a product yourself. It is already for you.

You just find an affiliate program related to your niche and apply as a publisher.

Once approved you will be provided with links and banners with your unique affiliate ID to use on your website.

The affiliate ID is very important so you get paid.

      1. You place the link or banner on your site and a visitor to your site clicks it
      2. They check it out and when they purchase it and payment goes through you receive a commission.
      3. This will be shown on your dashboard in the affiliate program and once you reach the payment threshold you receive payment. (Not all have payment thresholds, but $100 is common if they do.)

All you have to do is go to Google and type in your niche + affiliate programs.

Example: stages of affiliate marketing

There are affiliate programs for everything! Just try it. Google – toilet affiliate programs. (About 1,210,000 results.)

There are also affiliate networks you can join that contain 100’s if not 1,000’s of companies in their network for you to promote.

This is great as you grow your content with different articles related to different topics.

You will find something in the network that you can join and promote.

There are 2 types of affiliate networks.

      1. Some that are easy to join even when you are just starting out and don’t have much content.
      2. And the others that are very picky and you have to have a great website, 1,000’s of visitors a day, and alot of content.

I have found these to be the easiest to join when starting out, better chance of approval:

When applying to these affiliate networks always use your website email which you can create once you buy your web hosting.

Web Hosts all provide emails which has your web address – example: katie@stagesofaffiliatemarketing.com.

They will not take you seriously or approve you if you use Yahoo or Gmail or any other free email account.

They have to ensure that you are the actual owner of the website.

I found this out the hard way, so take my word for it. I was denied many in the beginning and I couldn’t figure out why.

Then I read it on one I was applying to. It would not allow a free email account so I had that “aha” moment.

The following have a lot of requirements.

Your website needs to be established, have a lot of visitors per day, and age of website is helpful.

They require a phone call to discuss your plans to promote their affiliates and IM account information.

These have big payouts so they screen very carefully and are stringent in their rules.

These show the highest payout on this date (11/24/2016) for an affiliate commission per sale.

      1. Bidder Place – $300.
      2. AdsMain – $175
      3. MaxBounty – $250
      4. G4Offers – $150
      5. Ad4Date – $175 – Adult Genre
